Currently recurring on the TV series, “Gortimer Gibbons, Life On Normal Street” for Amazon as well as, “The Client List” for Lifetime, but still may still be best known for his role as Zac Efron’s father, Coach Jack Bolton in Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL franchise. Bart Born in Hollywood, Bart was exposed to the movie business at a very young age. In television, he starred on the WB’s drama, “Hyperion Bay” from creator Joseph Dougherty. Bart has also guest starred and recurred in many TV shows and can be seen in the films, “Mi Familia”, “Animals”, “5 Nights in Hollywood”, “Campus Killer”, “A Green Story” and “Monster Mutt”.

Bart spends his free time at the improv and writing program at the Upright Citizens Brigade. He recently debuted as a writer/director with his 18-minute 35mm short film entitled, “THE RUN”. The film, shot entirely in Mexico, is a prelude to a feature length film of the same title.

Bart also works with long time collaborators, best friends, and real life brothers, Adam and Brad Johnson. This year they produced a documentary entitled,“$6 and a Bottle of Water”. A story of the brother’s journey hitch hiking across the baja desert.

Bart owns a boutique resort just outside of Park city, formerley called, “The Johnson Mill” in Midway, Utah, Redbook Magazine has named, "One of the 4 most romantic Inn's in the Country." Just this month he has proud to announce that he has partnered up with the countries leading experts in the field of detox and recovery, and has now opened the best substance abuse rehabilitation center in the world. is now

At the age of 14 his family moved from Los Angeles to Midway, Utah. During high school Bart got involved in theater, and during college began his career in television. Before long he packed up his car and drove back to Hollywood to chase his dream. Johnson married actress Robyn Lively in 1999. The couple have three children (Baylen, Kate and Wyatt) and reside in their home in the Hollywood Hills.
